MATERIALS

Sustainably Harvested Bamboo & Rattan

All our bamboo and rattan is sourced from certified sustainable farms across Asia. Bamboo is one of the fastest-growing plants on earth, regenerating naturally after harvest without the need for replanting. It requires no pesticides, minimal water, and actually improves soil quality. Rattan, harvested from tropical forests, grows as a vine and can be collected without damaging the trees it climbs — making it one of the most renewable materials available.

Supporting Artisan Communities

We work directly with artisan cooperatives in Bali, the Philippines, and China — many with over 16 years of experience in traditional bamboo and rattan craft. These partnerships ensure fair wages, safe working conditions, and the preservation of techniques passed down through generations. By choosing handmade over mass-produced, we support livelihoods and keep cultural traditions alive.
